XX Where I Stand
On stance, clarity, and persistence
What appears
as difference
often follows
the same pattern.
Structures change.
Names change.
Surfaces shift.
What remains
is how they hold.
I have seen this
from within.
From a distance.
Across languages.
Across places.
It does not resolve.
It clarifies.
What surrounds you
does not disappear.
It becomes visible.
What once governed
no longer determines
where you stand.
This is not freedom.
It is position.
Maintained.
Not through certainty.
Not through conclusion.
Through attention.
Through continuation.
What has been built
does not secure itself.
It holds
as long as it is held.
There is no final form.
No fixed ground.
Only a line
that remains
through use.
I stand there.
Not outside.
Not removed.
Within it.
Without confusion.
What continues
does not require
resolution.
Only that it is carried.
Again.
